Class Ages – Teens and Adults

 “Anything worth doing is worth doing well.”  This is the motto of our teen and adult classes. Although these innovative and enjoyable classes are often taught with a sense of humor, there is always the understanding that achievement comes through hard work.  Students are expected to come with open minds and to leave with sore muscles.

These are our most diverse classes, offering students the opportunity to learn a variety of techniques while still giving them the opportunity to tailor their class experience to their level fitness. The structure of the classes is built around traditional martial arts philosophy, but flavored with a modern twist.  Our instructors utilize a number of different tools (including physical skill development, and scientific technique dissection) to engage students personally on a professional level to help them develop to their full potential.

Omaha Blue Waves Martial Arts is a strong supporter of helping teens grow through positive reinforcement. The Search Institute has identified building blocks of healthy development—known as the 40 Developmental Assets—that help young children grow up healthy, caring, and responsible. Martial Arts help to build many of these assets in young people.
